  2.     Hello!

  4.     Here is the version 2.2 of the GNU assembler.  It understands
  5. 68030 and 68040 specific opcodes.  This assembler can be used with
  6. gcc.  There are four different versions: a plain (works on all
  7. Amigas), a 68020, a 68030 and a 68040 version.  These are named `as',
  8. `as020', `as030' and `as040'.

  10.     To install 
  11. (sorry, maybe I'll write and Installer script later in this year)
  12. copy the binary to somewhere in the path (e.g. to gcc:bin/as)
  13. if you will use the -m68030 or -m68040 switch, copy the `specs' to
  14. `gcc:lib/gcc-lib/amigados/2.5.8/specs'.
  15. copy the docs to the place where they will live on your computer.
